Who are we?
On 1st January 2006, on the initiative of Paul-Emile MOTTARD, the Provincial Deputy for Culture and Tourism, and with the active support of the Economy Minister Jean-Claude MARCOURT, the Province of Liège film shooting assistance office – CLAP asbl – was founded with the main goal of attracting and facilitating foreign or Belgian film productions in the Liège region.
In May 2007, Philippe GREISCH, Deputy for Culture in Luxembourg, decided to join the not-for-profit organisation, CLAP.
In 2008, Martine JACQUES, Deputy for Culture, invited the Province of Namur to join CLAP asbl and thereby extended the office’s scope and strengthened its service offer through adding skills and locations from the Namur region.
The organisation is distinctive in that its general assembly members consist mostly of audio-visual professionals among the most active in the region: location scouts, location managers, producers etc.

CLAP has developed a website providing listings of extras, actors and technicians, in order to catalogue and promote skills from the Provinces.
In partnership with WALLIMAGE (www.wallimage.be) and the other Walloon Region assistance offices, CLAP has also created a locations database which is freely accessible at: www.cinemawallonia.be. This website enables private owners to offer filming locations for hire, and audio-visual producers to find ideal locations for their film projects!
